The 19th International Quran Recitation Conference was held in Bangladesh from 8th-22nd February 2019. The conference was organized by International Quran Recitation Association (IQRA) and Sponsored by PHP Family Bangladesh.
The opening ceremony of the conference was held at National Mosque Baitul Mukarrom, Dhaka. The conference was inaugurated by Adv. Sheikh Md. Abdullah, Hon. State Minister for Religious Affairs, People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Alhajj Sufi Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, Chairman PHP Family, was present as the Chief Patron. Mr. Mosharraf Hossain Vuiyan NDC, Chairman, National Borad of Revenue (NBR); Mr. Shamim Mohammed Afzal, Director General, Islamic Foundation Bangladesh; Mawlana Qari Shah Ataullah Ibne Hafejji Hujur; H.E. Mr. Mohammad Reza Nafar, Ambassador for Islamic Republic of Iran in Bangladesh; Mr. Mohamed Roslan, Deputy High Commissioner for High Commission of Brunei Darussalam at Dhaka were was present as the Special guests.
The participant Qari’s were, Sheikh Abdur Rahman Sadien (South Africa), Sheikh Yasir Sharqawi (Egypt), Qari Yasar Cuhadar (Turkey), Qari hamid Shakernezhad (Iran) and Qari Numan Pimbayabaya (Philippines).
Shaikhul Qurra Sheikh Ahmad Bin Yusuf Al Azhari chaired the conference. The conference took place at 12 locations of Bangladesh under the auspices of International Quran Recitation Association (IQRA).
