The world renowned Qari Sheikh Ahmad bin Yusuf Al Azhari is appointed the Shaikhul Qurra (Chief Qari) of Bangladesh. The President of ‘الاتحاد العربي والدولي لقراء القرآن الكريم/Al-Ittehadul Arabee Wad-Dawlii Li-Qurra Il-Quranil Kareem’ (the approx body of Global Quran Reciters) Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Ahmad Naina and the president of ‘Arab Peoples and Parliaments Organizations/منظمة الشعوب والبرلمانات العربية ‘,  Dr. Abdel Aziz Abdullah Hamad have awarded Sheikh Ahmad bin Yusuf Al Azhari, the Chief Qari (Shaikhul Qurra) of Bangladesh.

It is worth mention here that from the advent of the liberation until the year 2018 this position was indeed occupied by the great pioneer of Quran recitation, the Chief Qari of Bangladesh Radio and Television, Shaikhul Qurra Qari Muhammad Yusuf (Rah). At the sad demise of ٍSheikh Mohammed Yusuf on 18th April 2018, his able elder son Sheikh Ahmad bin Yusuf Al Azhari is awarded the position of Shaikhul Qurra of Bangladesh.

Sheikh Qari Ahmad Bin Yusuf Al Azhari made the great flag of Bangladesh most cherished and honored in the soils of foreign countries by his outstanding recitation from the Holy Quran. Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Naina stated that the honor of award of Sheikh Qari Ahmad Bin Yusuf Al Azhari will pen a new vista of relationship with Bangladesh and foreign countries. This is a great honor for the nation and it will be enriching the horizon of Recitation of holy Quran in home and abroad. Sheikh Qari Ahmad Bin Yusuf Al Azhari earned his degree in Dawra-e- Hadith with distinction in Bangladesh and later got his highest Degree of 8 years period Ma’hadul Qira’at of Al Azhar in Egypt on Quranic Science and Phonetics (Qira’at Ashara).
